Have you ever noticed that the very important things in your life do come to you but not when you really need them... and sometimes when you just DO NOT need them.
Here is an example... remember ages ago when you had a huge crush on someone, take it back to the days of puppy love... and then it took ages to get over the damn crush and when you know you've found your true love and you're happy and then your old school crush comes in your life and tells you all that you wanted to hear 6 years ago.
This may be a very small example but its just not this... there are many.
Just like today i met this guy on my way back home from college, this guy lives in London and is an old friend... ages ago i wrote a poem, very very close to my heart... and i wanted to get it published and this friend of mine could've done it easily for me... but today after this long he asked me if i wanted to get it published...
And today i dont have it.
Well, this was funny but there are umpteen examples in one's life...

It happens to the best of us! Some times we are just not ready to say what we want to say but then when we are ready it probably too late... But then we can't hold onto the past, so just take ur lessons from it, if you think you have something to say to someone at that point of time say it else don't regret ur decision... :)
